Kunstbe ("we", "us") operates a professional portfolio and discovery platform for university-affiliated artists and vetted institutions. This policy describes how we handle personal data during the private beta.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, optional display name and handle.
- Portfolio content you upload: work titles, descriptions, tags, and media files.
- Institution contact messages relayed through the platform.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and audit logs for security.
How we use data
We use your data to operate the service, verify university affiliation, show public portfolios, enable institution discovery, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Language preference
When you are signed in, we store your language preference in your account (User.locale) and update it when you change language in settings. We also set a NEXT_LOCALE cookie so the site can remember your choice across sessions on this device. You can change your preference with the language switcher or clear the cookie in your browser settings.
Your rights
Signed-in creators can export their data and request account deletion from Settings → Privacy. Contact us if you need help exercising GDPR rights.
